Bring beauty! Lily Collins made quite a few statements with her charm in the first season of "Emily" in Paris. After sitting down with Aurélie Payen, the makeup artist of the show, we can almost guarantee that the second season, which will launch on December 22, will provide some very stunning looks.

With this in mind, the beauty of this round will be "a little different" from what fans initially saw. Emily Cooper, played by Collins, who just came from Chicago, was all matte lipstick and berry shades at the premiere of the series. But for the second season, fans can expect her to have more French je ne sais quoi if you want.

“I want to still focus on Emily’s personality, but add a bit of French makeup and French style to her character,” Payne told American Weekly Fashion specifically, noting that the subtle shift to a more natural charm reflects Paris’ Influence. "[She will] be inspired by France, but it is still her. It is still the Emily we know and love."

These changes in her aesthetics are not just a simple style decision. Adjusting her makeup is an important tool for storytelling.

"Emily reflects her personality through makeup. She is from the United States and has thick lips... Emily is very talkative. She is a talker and is not afraid to speak out," Payne explained in her first season. Atmosphere.

However, now she "has more time" to immerse herself in French culture. "She likes French people, French landscapes, she has become a little more French. This means maybe she will stay away from her lips for something more natural," Payne explained.

Although she cannot "tell everything" about what is about to happen, she shared that the audience can immediately spot these "tiny" differences.

"In the first scene, I wanted to add some more natural and French atmosphere," she said. "So, instead of using matte lipstick, I used the moisturizing lipstick commonly used by French girls. It's that kind of little thing."

From the "popular color" of the 70s style, faithful to Emily's personality, to the light and "luminous" skin tone products that exude the beauty of French girls, it can be said with certainty that the second season will serve all inspo. Emily in Paris collaborated with Lancôme to launch a limited-edition capsule series, including eye shadow, lipstick, serum and perfume. This cooperation couldn't be more appropriate, because Collins has been Lancôme's ambassador since 2014.

Although there are some obsessive products in the series, Payen said that the most popular Monsieur Big Mascara, which has upgraded the lovely Emily in the theme of Paris, occupies the supreme position. "When you don't have time to put on makeup in the morning, mascara is really important," she said. "Apply a little mascara and you will have this look."
