Butterflier and Freestyler Jenna Currier join South Dakota

Jenna Currier, a senior at Denison Community High School, has made a verbal pledge to join South Dakota State University.

"I chose SDSU because of the enthusiasm and fun of the team atmosphere. As soon as I step on campus, I feel at home. The coaches are knowledgeable, the team is fun, but the atmosphere is full of competition. I am very happy to join the Jackrabbit family!!! Go to Jackrabbit! !!!"

Currier also swims for the Ames Cyclone Aquatics Club. In the IASI 13-14 Senior Long Course Championships, she ranked eighth in the 100-meter freestyle, ninth in the 50-meter freestyle and 50-meter butterfly, and tenth in the 100-meter butterfly.

Currier cut futures in 100 butterflies. Her best short course code time is:

South Dakota State University is a member of the Summit Alliance. In the 2021 Summit League Women's Championship, SDSU ranked second among five teams. If she swims her best time in the game. Currier will also enter the A final in the 100 butterfly competition, faster than any other SDSU swimmer in the event. Currier will enter the B final in the 50, 100 and 200 freestyle and 100 backstroke. 

If Curry participated in the competition last season and achieved her best result, she would be the fastest performer in the 100 butterfly strokes in the program. She will also achieve good results in other top events-she will become the third fastest player in the 50m freestyle, and the fourth fastest player in the 100m and 200m freestyle and 100m backstroke.

Once she arrives, Curiel will have the opportunity to train with some swimmers who are currently faster than her-Emma Waltz will become a junior, good at freedom and back, as well as Elizabeth Timor and Grace Way Thurspen, they will be seniors and people who specialize in freedom, breasts, and IM.

Currier will join the team in the fall of 2022.
