Manchester police said a pregnant woman was shot Friday night after a stray bullet entered her home.

Police said they responded to a home in the area of Bell and Hall streets around 9 p.m. Friday after a 35-year-old pregnant woman suffered a gunshot wound.

Emergency crews transported the woman to a hospital and said she is "reported to be in stable condition," according to a press release from the Manchester Police Department. The unborn child also "appears" to be safe.

Investigators said they learned the gunshot was from a stray bullet coming from the area of 292 Belmont St.

Police said they went to Apartment 9 as part of the investigation. The people there barricaded themselves inside the home and did not cooperate, Manchester police said.

Manchester Police SWAT entered the apartment after the occupants did not cooperate.

All five people in the apartment were arrested by Manchester police. Manchester residents Joseph Ricci, 27, Corey Raikes, 27, Matthew Iannotti, 23, Cody Duarte, 28, and Timothy Walsh, 20, were charged with resisting arrest.

Manchester police said they are still investigating the incident, and anyone with any information can call 603-624-4040.
